D1.1 Methodological framework to support integrated Eco-design for automotive components in EV - Abstract
In this report, the methodological framework that supports the integrated eco-design of electrical vehicle components is presented. The eco-design methodology has been defined, following the PDSA approach, as four key different steps: 1) Identification of Hotspots and Life Cycle Stages, 2) Eco-design strategies definition and set up, 3) Re-adaption of technological procedures to the selected strategies and 4) Definition of concrete eco-design actions. Identified life cycle stages are: Production (raw material extraction, manufacturing and assembly), use (energy consumption, driving cycle), and end-of-life (final waste management). During step 4, considering the strategies and the actions, an analytic hierarchy process is designed and applied during a dedicated webinar for the project consortium, in order to obtain a ranking of the more significant and suitable actions for the eco-design of electrical vehicle components.
