D1.2 Eco-design of Fatigue4Light materials - Abstract
In this report, the methodological framework that supports the integrated eco-design of electrical vehicle components is applied. Aspects that present a potential critical environmental performance are identified as hotspots. Eco-design strategies and specific actions are recognized towards the reduction of these potential environmental results. Strategies and actions are studied for each of the life cycle stages: Production (raw material extraction, manufacturing and assembly); Use (energy consumption, driving cycle); and End-of-life (final waste management). Compiling the results from a dedicated webinar including an analytic hierarchy process, a ranking of the more significant and suitable actions for the eco-design of electrical vehicle components is presented.
