Presentation of Fatigue4Light papers in the Congress of Numerical Methods
The Fatigue4Light project was present in the Congress of Numerical Methods in Engineering (CMN 2022), celebrated on September 12th-14th in the Canary Islands Congress Centre in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain).
Luis Antonio Gonçalves and Bàrbara Alcayde, doctoral students from CIMNE, the project’s coordinator, presented two scientific articles based on Fatigue4Light investigation. Respectively, they collaborated in the production of the papers “Numerical investigation of the fatigue behavior of a Mn-TWIP steel” and “Fatigue behaviour of Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Polymers: numerical versus experimental”.
Luis Antonio’s paper was discussed in the session “Mechanical behaviour of materials”, while Bàrbara’s presentation was held within the session “Composites modelling: characterization, behaviour and structures”.
The Congress of Numerical Methods in Engineering is a biennial event jointly organized by the Spanish (SEMNI) and the Portuguese (APMTAC) societies of numerical methods, together with the University Institute of Intelligent Systems and Numerical Applications in Engineering (SIANI) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). It has compiled the most relevant scientific and technical works in the area of numerical methods and computational mechanics, as well as their practical applications.
