Fatigue4Light partners from MW participate in the International Munich Chassis Symposium Chassis.tech
Project partners from MW attended the 14th International Munich Chassis Symposium Chassis.tech celebrated from 20 – 21 of June as a hybrid event in via live stream and in Munich (Germany).
The International Munich Chassis Symposium is the key worldwide meeting place for the chassis community in the fields of chassis, steering, brakes, and tires/wheels.
During the event, Giorgio Gallio, Research and Innovation Manager from MW, presented the opportunities for steel wheels and the latest innovations developed for this purpose with a special focus on the high strength steel grades implemented through the Fatigue4Light project and hybrid wheels which include all the best features of aluminium and steel.
Within Fatigue4Light, MW is in charge of selecting, producing and fatigue testing wheel demonstrators with current and new materials / technologies. The results are to be used to assess the feasibility and the potential of the weight reduction and to correlate with the fatigue simulations.
