Fatigue4Light project takes part in the TRA Conference celebrated in Lisbon
Partners from Fatigue4Light project have attended the Transport Research Arena Conference (TRA2022), the largest European research and technology event on transport and mobility, taking place from 14th – 17th of November in Lisbon (Portugal).
Sergio Jiménez, project’s coordinator from CIMNE, has presented the project during the session “Improved EV efficiency, range and environmental impact through innovations in lightweight materials”, organised as part of EnLight EVs Cluster, participated by Fatigue4Light and other four European projects. This session has been focused on presenting different lightweight solutions for Electric Vehicles and showcasing the utilisation of advanced steels, novel aluminium composites, optimised recycled plastics and recyclable resins for the reduction of the overall vehicles weight along with eco-design principles.

On the other hand, Violeta Vargas, project partner and researcher at the Waste, Energy and Environmental Impact Unit of Eurecat, has participated in the strategic session “LCA approaches and circular economy to enhance sustainability of mobility solutions, including tendering process”, aimed at discussing on the possible visions for LCA approaches shared amongst the entire transport sector, contributing towards a cost-efficient, sustainable and inclusive future mobility.
During her presentation, she explained the main work and results achieved within Fatigue4Light related to Life Cycle Assessment topics, and introduced other European mobility and transport projects such as MARBEL and COBRA.

During the three days of the conference, the Fatigue4Light video has been displayed in the European Commission booth as a key EU project tackling weight reduction in automotive chassis parts and working to improve the future mobility sector.
The TRA Conference is the foremost European transport event covering all transport modes and all aspects of mobility and bringing together experts from around the world to discuss about the most relevant innovations and future trends and challenges of mobility and transport. TRA 2022 has been focused on promoting a more efficient, safer, carbon-free, inclusive, and sustainable transport in all its modes.
