CIMNE presents Fatigue4Light in the European Conference on Results from Road Transport Research
Sergio Jiménez, Fatigue4Light coordinator and PhD candidate from CIMNE, presented the project during the Conference on Results from Road Transport Research (RTR 2023), celebrated on February 14th-16th in Brussels (Belgium).
During his presentation, entitled “Boosting the use of lightweight materials in Electric Vehicles’ chassis”, Sergio Jiménez presented Fatigue4Light as a key European project developing lightweight solutions adapted to the chassis parts of Electric Vehicles to enhance weight reduction and increase vehicles’ safety. The presentation was included within the session “GV – Advanced light materials and their production processes”, moderated by Eric Cerneaz, project officer from CINEA and Thilo Bein, Head of Knowledge Management from Fraunhofer LBF.
In addition, representatives from FLAMINGo, REVOLUTION, LEVIS and Alma, the EnLight EVs cluster’s projects, participated in the session, as well as UPSCALE, another project from the Horizon 2020 programme.

The RTR Conference, organised by the European Comission, 2Zero partnership, CCAM and ERTRAC, brought together in this year’s edition around 400 experts in the road transport sector from all over Europe.
They shared experiences and discussed about the next research steps in areas like green vehicles, urban mobility, intelligent transport systems or automated road transport.
